The College Football Playoff is down to 9 contenders

As much as it pains me to say, goodbye Irish. Toast just like that. We’re down to 9 contenders for the four spots: Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Stanford, and Houston. That’s it.

I have never been more confident in anything in my life that the four spots will come from those nine teams, except my DraftKings lineup yesterday that nearly finished last the country.

Anyway, college football is unreal. Truly unreal. I know everyone always talks about how the regular season is so great and means so much, but the one downside usually not mentioned is now teams like Notre Dame, USC, and Oklahoma have nothing to play for. Cancel their seasons.

RANK ‘EM

  1. Alabama
  2. Clemson
  3. Ohio State
  4. Houston
  5. Florida State
  6. Michigan
  7. Michigan State
  8. Stanford
  9. Iowa

End Note: Still nervous for Michigan State at Notre Dame on September 17. I’m actually skipping a 70mm presentation of The Master in order to watch it. Don’t let me down, Spartans.
