Another one bites the dust guys. Last night one more treasured castmember of legendary soap drama Grey’s Anatomy had departed.
Pictured on the left above, Dr. Callie Torres (played by Sara Ramirez) left for New York with daughter Sophia to see her then-ex girlfriend Penny who had left in the previous episode. She and her ex Arizona Robbins (pictured on the right and played by Jessica Capshaw) had been the mothers of Sophia after Sophia’s birthdad Mark Sloan died in season 9. Yes, it sounds that much like a soap opera. Arizona had gained co-custody with Callie but recently in this season the two had their own custody battle over her when Callie wished to move to New York while Arizona stayed in Seattle.
The departure of Sara Ramirez leaves a new plot open for Arizona, similar to how Callie found her after Mark Sloan, again, died in season 9. But she also didn’t deny ever coming back with the following message.

Lord knows fans of this show can’t lose anyone else after multiple character deaths and departures in the first few seasons, and more recently Christina Yang (Sandra Oh) moving to Switzerland and Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) dying after a truck hit him last season. I’m hoping she can come back one day. And still it goes on. Grey’s Anatomy is the train that never stops.
