Week 5 MLB Power Rankings

It was very difficult to make this week’s rankings. Not because the teams are even and hard to place in the right spot, but because this week I officially declared that I am no longer a fan of Major League Baseball because the Detroit Tigers absolutely suck. Wow, they suck so bad. Sad! Also, the Yankees are No. 27 in honor of their World Series Championships.

Let’s get it:

  1. Chicago Cubs (24-6) [Last Week: 1] – The 2016 Cubs will be the best team to not win the World Series.
  2. Chicago White Sox (22-10) [4] – A dream scenario would be the South-siders beating the Cubbies in the World Series.
  3. New York Mets (19-11) [2] – Big Sexy’s home run is still going.
  4. Washington Nationals (19-12) [3] – Swept by the Cubs, like everyone else.
  5. Baltimore Orioles (18-12) [6] – I keep waiting for the O’s to suck, but they certainly haven’t yet.
  6. Boston Red Sox (18-13) [5] – Hire Pedroia as next pitching coach because he found the glitch in Price’s delivery.
  7. Seattle Mariners (18-13) [12] – The Mariners have looked legit in the first month of the season.
  8. Texas Rangers (18-14) [11] – Lots of talent on the Rangers roster will have them competing for the AL West all season long.
  9. Pittsburgh Pirates (17-14) [8] – MY Pirates keep going.
  10. Philadelphia Phillies (18-14) [9] – Watch out. That’s all I’ll say here.
  11. Cleveland Indians (15-13) [18]
  12. Los Angeles Dodgers (16-15) [13]
  13. San Francisco Giants (17-16) [14]
  14. Tampa Bay Rays (15-14) [22]
  15. Miami Marlins (16-14) [21]
